A Sutton Coldfield father and his disabled son had a surprise encounter with the Princess of Wales while climbing one of Britain’s highest mountains.
Pete Haslam was carrying his paraplegic son Ted to the top of Ben Nevis when they bumped into the future Queen.
They were taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge – a 23-mile trek across the highest summits in England, Scotland and Wales, in aid of children’s charity Molly Ollys .
